SOURCING
Sourcing
Precision Sourcing Network
We hunt, verify, and secure vehicles using data-driven selection and real human expertise.
Market Scouting
We identify rare inventory by combining global listings, enthusiast communities, private networks, auctions, and street-level market intel. This stage is about surface-level discovery and price pulse checks before deeper inspection.
Inspection-First Vetting
Every car must pass our lift inspection. We validate chassis integrity, rust points, leaks (PS soft lines, seals), bushings, suspension condition, turbo systems, ECU mods, and engine health so sourcing decisions are backed by mechanical truth, not photos or claims alone.
Approval & Capture
Once a vehicle clears inspection, we secure the deal, collect documentation (ownership, import/export compliance), and capture detailed media, specs, and condition reports. At this point the car moves forward into paid logistics and export flow.
Spec Verification
We verify trim codes, engine history, ECU revisions, sealer stamps, model-year nuances, and parts authenticity so you don’t get “just a car” — you get *the right car*.
Inspection First
We inspect in person, dig into cold-start behaviour, compression health, boost delivery, panel gaps, underseal integrity, and service records before any money moves.
The Opus Sourcing Process
OpusDrive doesn’t source cars the easy way — we source them the *right* way. Our process begins long before a purchase: we monitor enthusiast communities, owner networks, auction lanes, private sellers, dealership trade-ins, and global listing pipelines and collector markets. When a potential vehicle is found, it enters our verification funnel: Authenticity check → mechanical risk scan → price equity validation → export viability targeting. Some of the key points we validate during sourcing:
- Trim & spec accuracy: verifying engine codes (RB, 2JZ, Rotary, etc.), turbo setup, model revision, VIN details, rare package options, and generation differences.
- Geographic advantage: sourcing from BC, Alberta, Ontario, and import-rich hubs to optimize freight lines from port to port.
- Price intelligence: analyzing price trends, spotting undervalued opportunities, factoring exchange rates (CAD → BRL), seasonality, and hidden logistics costs.
- Export readiness: confirming chassis legality, compliance path, parts support in the target market, emissions compatibility, auction documentation, and customs feasibility.
- Inspection priority: no blind buying — we do compression tests, cold start logs, turbo boost health, leakdown checks, rust mapping, and driveline behaviour before bidding or negotiating.
Once the vehicle passes our funnel, we move to acquisition and staging, prepping it for containerization, port drayage, brokerage paperwork, booking lines, and final export. We source with intention: **rare, authentic, export-safe, collection-grade, street-proven vehicles built to belong, deliver, and hold value.**
